Parent Education Program

Massachusetts Parent Education Programs

by

OVERVIEW

Parents who are getting divorced with children under 18 years of age must participate in an approved Parent Education Program within 30 days of service of the original complaint. If you have any questions, please contact our team.

FEES

Each parent must pay $80 to the parent education program provider in advance. The same fee applies to participation via DVD or online in the program entitled KidCare for Co-Parents: An Educational Program for Divorcing Families. Parent Education programs will ensure that parents do not attend the same session of any program unless the court orders otherwise.

If you cannot afford the $80 course fee, you may be eligible to pay a reduced fee of $5 to the provider.

STEPS

1) Review the list of court-approved parent education providers below. The list is arranged by Massachusetts county.

2) Register with the parent education program provider.

3) After you register, complete and file the Affidavit Confirming Registration at Parent Education Program.

4) After you complete the program, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.  You must file this Certificate of Attendance with the court no later than thirty (30) days after completing the program.

PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAM LIST

This list may change at any time – please visit the website below for the most up to date information. It is very important that the program you attend is approved.
